Let's talk about music. But before we begin...disclaimer: this is about me sharing the music that I enjoy and is in no way some type of expert rating system. So with that said...

When it comes to music, I'm truly one of those "listen to everything" types of people. Looking through my iPod you'll find a melting pot of music from all walks of life. I will say recently, I've delved and somewhat stayed in the rap world, which could partially, if not entirely, be because of other people's influence. But I'm not complaining. Now I'm not gonna sit here and act like I'm this big hip hop head. When it comes to this genre, I stick to what works for me and what I find interesting about individual artists. I think it's easy to get into a monotonous sound, so when I find rappers who chime a little different, I'm hooked. Some of my most listened to artists both recently and during different time periods of my life include: Eminem(G.O.A.T.), Childish Gambino, Kendrick Lamar, Kid Cudi, Odd Future(I have a soft spot for Tyler), Joey Bada$$ and so many more. Every once in awhile I get in a funk where I'm desperately in need of some fresh music and I'm so glad that I discovered Logic. ( I know I'm late in this discovery, don't make fun!)

I'm not sure how it happened, but it did, and I'm so glad it did. Logic's recently released album, Under Pressure has been on repeat constantly for about the last ten days. The first couple days involved just scratching the surface and deciding if I liked this guy. After that, I really began analyzing the lyricism and looking into him as an artist. One thing that really stuck with me was his positive, hard working, focused outlook on life. Through his music, the agility and cleverness are what got me hooked. Some stand out tracks from the album, for different reasons, include "Intro", "Gang Related", "Nikki" and "Now", just to name a few. The commentary with facts about the making of the album from our Under Pressure  tour guide, Thalia, add some interesting insight and satisfy my craving for skits in albums. I have no doubt I'll be listening to this album for some time and now looking into some of his older stuff. So if you get a chance, take a listen for yourself!
